SPORTS CLUBS

Please see details below about our clubs and what to bring with you.

For our before school clubs, please arrive to the club for 8am with your child changed ready for the club. At the end of the club we will take children to their classes.

For our after school clubs, please send your child to school with a change of clothes and they will change for the club before we start. Please collect your child at 4.30pm. If your child is attending the LASK after school club, we will take them to the club after we have dismissed the remaining children. Please ensure you make a note that they attend the LASK after school clubs in the "Additional info" box when you register for one of our clubs.

SPY CLUB

Our Spy club can take place inside or outside. Your child will need to wear appropriate comfortable clothing (such as PE kit). Please ensure that they have suitable footwear for indoor or outdoor use.

Spy club includes a range of missions that the children will complete weekly. Instructions for the missions will be read out or played to the children through a pre-recorded video/audio. Children will receive a special ID badge that they can customise and design. This will then be laminated for them to keep and bring to spy club. Missions will include a range of teamwork, sports based, problem solving and codebreaking missions for the children to undertake. These are very fun and engaging activities suitable to all ages.

The children will be working towards different badges each term depending on what key areas they have excelled in. Eg...levels 1-5 in Teamwork, intelligence, Fitness and more (which are included in the cost from September 2026).

FOOTBALL CLUB

Our Football club takes place outside all year round. In case of severe weather, the session will be indoor/classroom based. Your child will need to wear appropriate comfortable clothing (including warm clothing in winter), suitable for football (such as PE kit or their own football kit). Please ensure that they have suitable footwear for indoor or outdoor use (football boots are allowed but please always bring some alternative footwear/astros in case the session is on the MUGA or indoors). For your child’s safety we would encourage shin pads to be worn.

Our sessions will develop the core technical skills (ball mastery, receiving the ball, passing, dribbling, running with the ball, turning, shooting, tackling, goalkeeping) as well as basic tactical components (attacking, defending, positioning,) within fun skill-based exercises.

On this club the children will be working towards the Pacesetter Football Award (which are included in the cost from September 2026).

TENNIS CLUB

Our Tennis club takes place outside all year round. In case of severe weather, the session will be indoor/classroom based. Your child will need to wear appropriate comfortable clothing (including warm clothing in winter), such as PE kit or their own clothing. Please ensure that they have suitable footwear for indoor or outdoor use.

Within our tennis clubs, we will teach lots of technical skills (forehand, backhand, volleying, serving) within fun games as well as working on basic tactics (including decision making and positioning) while all the time developing hand-eye coordination. When the Grand Slams are taking place, we may even run our own little in-house tennis tournament.

On this club the children will be working towards the Pacesetter Multi Sports Awards (which are included in the cost from September 2026).

GYMNASTICS CLUB

Our Gymnastics club takes place in the hall. Your child will need to wear appropriate comfortable clothing, suitable for gymnastics (such as PE kit). Most of the sessions will be carried out without shoes. Please ensure that your child informs us if they have a verruca (or anything else that will prevent their feet being bare) and need to wear socks and plimsolls.

Our sessions involve the learning of exercises requiring physical strength, flexibility, power, agility, coordination, grace, balance and control. Lessons are tailored to the needs of the group and individual and delivered in a safe manner using mats and other apparatus (depending on equipment available and the learning stage of the group).

On this club the children will be working towards the Pacesetter Gymnastics Awards (which are included in the cost from September 2026).

BALL SPORTS CLUB

Our Multi Ball club takes place outside all year round. In case of severe weather, the session will be indoor/classroom based. Your child will need to wear appropriate comfortable clothing (including warm clothing in winter), such as PE kit or their own clothing. Please ensure that they have suitable footwear for indoor or outdoor use.

Within the club we teach the basic, generic skills that can in theory then be transferred over to a range of ball sports. It also allows us to pick up which skills your child is particularly strong in. We will incorporate the skills learned each week into different sports which will include cricket, hockey, football and dodgeball to name a few.
